Guest Author: Nicole Haas
Nicole Haas is a Scientist at ChristianaCare’s Gene Editing Institute. Currently, she focuses on developing and optimizing the use of CRISPR/Cas driven gene editing to treat solid tumors. She uses both in vitro and in vivo models to collect translational and preclinical data. Nicole obtained her Master’s Degree in 2013 and since then has spent her research career supporting novel in vivo method development, leading both benchtop and field studies, analyzing data and drafting manuscripts for grants, publications, and more. Nicole also uses her research experience to mentor aspiring scientists of all ages, from middle through graduate school. When she isn’t in the lab, Nicole can be found outside exploring nature during all four seasons with her husband and two children.
